Origin : Robusta 5 x Ottawa 3 - Cornell University, USA
Description : Rootstock with vigor similar to M26 and high productivity, tolerant to replanting, tolerant to phytophthora, very resistant to fire blight but susceptible to woolly apple aphids. Susceptible to viruses but not very susceptible to suckers and burr knot. Information from the EFTR website
Characteristics : rootstock highly resistant to cold. Enters in production extremely quickly. Generates significant production from the second leaf onwards. However, it is susceptible to certain virus complexes and it is essential to graft virus-free material onto this rootstock. Very good rootstock in nurseries. Information provided based on knowledge acquired in 2025
Uses : suitable for weak varieties, multi-axis orchards, or poor soil
